Many in Tucker County and the surrounding areas find it rewarding to give of their time and resources to support our non-profit facility. Whether you want to help with one of our individual fund-raising efforts, visit with our residents or regularly participate in scheduled activities, Cortland can provide a mutually beneficial and rewarding experience.

For more information about the Friends of Cortland Acres, who raise thousands of dollars to enhance the lives of the resident, click the link on the left. The Friends purchase many items for the residents’ use; they fund dinners, events, and trips.  Their efforts complement resident care by maintaining a comfortable and pleasant living experience.

Cortland Acres began serving Tucker County and the surrounding counties in May of 1978, and it was just two years later that the board of directors recognized the need for an official group to help coordinate volunteer efforts. The result was the formation of the Friends of Cortland Acres on June 19, 1980.

Since that time, the women and men of the Friends of Cortland Acres have given generously of their time and talents to help make Cortland Acres the progressive, caring organization it is today. Won’t you join us?
